28th January 2014 - Discussion Between Prasarana and UTHM Representatives on Possible Project Collaboration

On 28th January 2014, a meeting has been made between Prasarana R&D and researchers team from Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM) at Wisma Monorail. There were 12 researchers and lecturers from UTHM that come from various research clusters and faculties. The main agenda was to discover possible research collaboration on public transportation. The scope ranges from passenger information system to environmental study. At the end of the discussion, several conclusions have been made. UTHM and Prasarana have outlined several research scope that might beneficial to both parties.

12th March 2014 - Site Visit At Ampang Train Simulator By UTHM Researchers

A team of 11 UTHM staffs consists of lecturers, undergraduate and post-graduate students were attending a meeting with SPNB R&D team, along with Pn. Norhaslita (Ampang Train Simulator) to present their research proposal on train driver fatigue factor. The presentation has been done by En. Firdaus Zaid (Undergraduate student, specializing on human body vibration), which he highlights his proposed methodology, and benefits of the research towards SPNB. En. Firdaus also requests several documents from SPNB to aid his research.

On 2 pm, Pn. Norhaslita brought us to train simulator and explained its purpose. One of the trainers, En. Fadhly allowed us to demonstrate the simulator by ourselves. The meeting was ended on 4pm.

4th June 2014 - Meeting With EQATS KLJ

Purpose : To seek information on current and past R&D activities done by EQATS, and to seek opportunities to publish/present their works.

Outcome : Some of their works have been identified as publishable.

17th July 2014 - Further Discussion With UTHM-RapidBus To Refine Research Methodology, Student Placement & Instrumentation

A meeting coordinated by R&D department between researchers from UTHM & RapidBus has been done at Bus Depoh Balakong. A team from UTHM, lead by Dr. Munzilah and Mr. Azlis explain about the methodology of their respective research and instrumentations that will be used. Apart from that, research students from UTHM that will be conducting the study will be placed temporarily at bus depoh along the research duration. RapidBus, lead by Mr. Aggus and Mr. Jaslino give feedback on their proposals, stating any possible factors that can affect their research output based on their industrial experience.
